We want you to be able to read wherever you are and with your own devices. The books at Amabook can be read on your computer, your laptop, your tablet (Ipad and Android), on your SmartPhone (Iphone and Android) or on your eReader device.


You have three options when you want to read your books.

  1. You will be able to read them directly on the Cloud, on a browser,
  2. You will be able to download them on your computer and save them on your eReader or with a standard reading app.
  3. You will be able to read them very easily with one of our iOS or Android compatible apps (Amabook App)


1. Cloud reader

Accessing Reading corner from the web browser on your computer or laptop you will be able to enjoy cloud reading by clicking on the button Read



2 Download books and read offline on your devices


 2.1 On your computer or laptop (and transfer it to your eReader):

You will be able to download the books directly onto your computer or laptop from the Reading corner by pressing Download.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to remember that, before you open the file that you are downloading, you have an Adobe ID and that Adobe Digital Editions is installed on your device.

2.2 How does the download with Adobe Digital Editions work?

2.2 Download the software to read your ebook

To read the ebook, you have to download the program Adobe Digital Editions.

To complete the download, you will need to create a Adobe ID to protect and ensure the author's copyright.

You will be able to download the same ebook on six computers and six devices using the same Adobe Digital Editions account.

Note: During the installation process you will have to authorize your computer with Adobe Digital Editions. If you have not done it, you can do it later from the Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 menu by going to Help > Authorize Computer (in versions prior to 2.0 go to Library > Authorize Computer) before starting the download. Once that is done, you will be able to start reading!

2.2.1 Add your ebook to Adobe Digital Editions library

Have you downloaded Adobe Digital Editions? Perfect, the next step is to add your book to the program's library.

To download the books from your orders, you should go to Reading corner. There you will find the list of all the books that you have purchased. It may take a couple of minutes for all the links to appear. If after making the purchase, your order does not appear in the list, try again in a few minutes.

Starting to read the books from your Reading corneris easy, click on Download and open the download  Adobe Digital Editions. Your ebook will be added to your Adobe library automatically.

To check, you can go to Adobe Digital Editions and you will see that your book has been added to the library.

2.2.3 Transfer the book to your eReader

You already have your book! If what you want is to transfer it to your eReader now, it is as simple as counting up to three:

  • ONE: Connect the ebook device to the computer.
  • TWO: Authorize the device to cynchronize your ebooks.
  • … And three!: drag and drop the book to the menu on the left, on the name of your eReader and you're ready to enjoy!

Important notice: The epub format is not compatible with Kindle devices.



3. On your mobile devices (tablets and/or phones)

Amabook gives you a free app for Ipad, Iphone y Android (both tablets and SmartPhones) calls Amabook. By downloading this application and connecting to the store with the same credentials, your Reading corner will synchronize, enabling you to read even without a connection to the Internet.

1. What is Adobe Digital Editions DRM?

The acronym DRM stands for "Digital Rights Management" scheme, it alllows you to download the digital books you purchase on a maximum of six personal computers or compatible devices. You decide which ones you want to use, but they must all have the same Adobe account.


2. Can I read ebooks from Amabook on my Kindle?

The Kindle is not compatible with Adobe DRM. It is the Amazon device and it only supports with its own format, mobipocket, or ebooks that do not have DRM.


3. What is streaming or cloud reading?

In this reading format the files are not downloaded, they are simply consumed online, making DRM systems unnecessary that are causing confusion among readers and complicating the purchasing process.

The streaming player allows you to play with the wallpaper, font size, you can make notes and share what you are reading. The platform will allow the user to access the publication from any of their devices and will remember what page has been read, what notes has made and which comments.


4. Error E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER

This message indicates that your device is not authorized with the Adobe account that you did the first download with.

To download an ebook on various devices, Adobe Digital Editions must be activated using the same Adobe ID in each of these.

To enable Adobe Digital Editions using an Adobe ID, follow the steps below:

  1. Start Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Select "Help> Authorize computer".
  3. The dialog box "Authorize computer" is displayed.
  4. Complete the email and password fields with of your Adobe ID.
  5. Press "Activate".

This process must be repeated using the same Adobe ID on all devices that you want to access your ebooks with.

A common mistake is to open the "URLLINK. ACSM" file before authorizing Adobe Digital Editions. You MUST authorize the system before opening the file.


5. Error: Check Activation

The error "Check activation" is an error linked to the installation of old Digital Editions software:

  1. Uninstall the old Adobe Digital Editions on the system.
  2. Reinstall the current Digital Editions from this link
  3. Once the new version is installed and activated (with your Adobe account) you can download your books.
  4. Thsi should solve the issue.


6. E_ADEPT_INTERNAL error

If you download an e-book and the E_ADEPT_INTERNAL error appears, there may be an issue with the activation of Adobe Digital Editions. Try to download the book again. If the download fails, follow these steps to rebuild the activation file.

For Mac OS:

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Press Command-Shift-D to unautoriza Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Select the option to unauthorize
  4. Salect Exit.
  5. Use Finder to navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the recycle bin.
  6. (If you are using Mac OS 10.7 or higher, press Alt in the Go menu to bring up the library)

  7. Open Adobe Digital Editions and authorize your system again.
  8. Download the book again.

For Windows XP/Vista/7:

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Press Control-Shift-D to unauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Select the option to unauthorize
  4. Salect Exit.
  5. Close all the programs.
  6. Select Start> Run.
  7. Type regedit in the text box Open. This will open the Registry Editor.
  8. In the left pane of the log, look for the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
  9. Select the Adept register key.
  10. Select File> Export.
  11. In the Export Registry File dialog box, select the files from the Registry hive in export interval. Select a name and a location for backup of the key, and press Save.
  12. Right click on the Adept key and select Delete.
  13. Please confirm that you want to remove this key.
  14. Close the Registry Editor.
  15. Open Adobe Digital Editions and authorize your system again.
  16. Download the book again.


7 E_ACT_NOT_READY error

There is a problem with the activation of your Adobe Digital Editions. To solve it follow the next steps:

The error means that there is a problem with the ADE authorization, please:

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Press Control+Shift+D (Windows) or Command+Shift+D (Mac)
  3. An option to delete the authorization of the computer will be displayed, select it.
  4. Authorize your computer again.

8. E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY" or "E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12

Solution: Unauthorize and authorize Adobe Digital Editions again.

For Adobe Digital Editions (Windows and Mac compatible PC)

  1. Unauthorize Adobe Digital Editions (from the library, CTRL + SHIFT + D or D + SHIFT + CMD).
  2. If you have already downloaded your book on another computer, please use the same Adobe ID to authorize the next devices.

For Bluefire Reader (iOS and Android mobile devices):

  1. Click on "Info" at the bottom right side of the Bluefire Reader.
  2. Click on "Unauthorize Computer" and confirm.
  3. Click on "Authorize" and enter your Adobe ID credentials.
  4. After following the previous steps, please try to download and open the book again.
  5. Check that the computer has internet access. If it does, check any proxy, firewall or antivirus configuration which may be preventing Adobe Digital Editions from accessing the Internet.
